In May, I shared that Exabeam had entered into a merger agreement with LogRhythm. Today, I am happy to share that the deal has closed, and LogRhythm and Exabeam have officially become one company! This moment is extremely validating for our team and the incredible work and dedication it took to advance the original vision of the Exabeam co-founders. The merger fulfills their promises to deliver on the company’s mission of providing the best security operations (SecOps) capabilities to the market at scale.

Now, we blaze an exciting new trail in our journey, along with the expertise and market maturity of our esteemed colleagues at LogRhythm. We join them with great enthusiasm to explore new avenues for expanding threat detection, investigation, and response (TDIR) capabilities and to continue building upon AI-driven functionalities. We will push limits in the race to a safer and more secure world, with an emboldened responsibility to serve even more businesses and governments in the global fight against cyber adversaries.

I am extremely proud to share that the unified company will continue to be known in the market as Exabeam. This is a testament to the many technological innovations and accomplishments that led us to this stage. Early in our journey, customers invested in Exabeam because we pioneered the use of user and entity behavior analytics in cybersecurity; today they continue to choose our market-leading solutions in cloud-native SIEM and AI-driven security operations for the efficiencies and superior effectiveness against evolving, unforeseen threats. Our unyielding commitment to evolution doesn’t stop. In fact, the merger with LogRhythm only accelerates our abilities to transform security operations, addressing customers’ demand for exceptional security solutions now, and well into the future.

As novel threats test existing cyber defenses every day, solution providers and leadership teams must continually reassess risk and exposure. Amid on-going sector consolidation and shapeshifting, we are confident in the decision to align with LogRhythm. We are deeply encouraged that the combined company is poised to continue leading SecOps, and that its position of strength in the market will deliver much-needed support and solutions in extraordinarily uncertain times.

Our steadfast and relentless pursuit of revolutionizing SecOps was on full display during the recent RSA Conference, when we unveiled yet another industry-first capability within the Exabeam platform, simplifying investigations for security analysts, and empowering them during a time when AI-fueled threats and skills shortages are creating chaos in the SOC. I invite you to read the product strategy and roadmap  shared today by Steve Wilson, Chief Product Officer at Exabeam.

In the weeks ahead, the new leadership team and go-forward employees will bring the unified Exabeam into clearer focus for customers and partners, making the transition seamless for all. To our customers, thank you for your trust in us—we would not be where we are today without your vision and willingness to embrace a better approach to TDIR. To our partners, thank you for your partnership—we have built an incredibly strong ecosystem and community together, and you can be assured those structures will continue with the new company.

As is often the case, the past few weeks have also allowed me an opportunity for reflection. I am struck by a profound sense of gratitude for the opportunity to lead this incredible team, and I am very proud of the achievements that led us all to this moment. From our technology innovations, to championing minority voices and women in cybersecurity; from being recognized for our unique culture as an exceptional workplace, to partnering with global powerhouses in tech to advance security. None of it is possible without every employee of Exabeam – past and present – and I thank you all for your outstanding work. We have built a unique and enviable legacy in Silicon Valley and the broader cybersecurity sector – what an honor!

Look for today’s news release, with more details on the close of the merger, and a blog by Chris O’Malley, the new CEO of Exabeam, with his perspective on how Exabeam is setting a new standard in the cybersecurity industry. I encourage you all to join Exabeam for the next leg of what is sure to be an amazing journey.
