Rich Durost

Rich Durost is a Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc. In this role, Rich’s focus is on sustaining the organization’s cybersecurity maturity in the face of changing threats, supporting growth by sharing and integrating mature IT Security capabilities with the health system’s partners, and focusing on novel threat vectors that originate from new business modalities and technology advances.

Rich’s IT Security career spans over 2 decades. He brings a wealth of experience from his IT Security roles in other healthcare systems, in consulting, in Trustworthy Computing at Microsoft, and from his 23+ years of service in the US Army. His background includes time at the National Security Agency, leading an organization that provided all the IT infrastructure services and support to the Information Assurance Directorate. Rich previously served as the Froedtert Health Interim CISO following 4 years as the Deputy CISO and Director, IT Security. He led IT Security Operations, providing strategic guidance and tactical direction for the Identity and Access Management, Epic Security, and Cyber Defense and Response teams.

Rich received his Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY and his Masters Degree in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
