FOSTER CITY, Calif., May 14, 2021 – Exabeam, the security analytics and automation company, today announced that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Yumi Nishiyama, director, global service partner alliances and Kristin Willard, channel manager, to the highly respected Women of the Channel list for 2021. This annual list recognizes the unique strengths, vision and achievements of female leaders in the IT channel. The 2021 Women of the Channel list acknowledges women from across the IT channel, including vendors, distributors and solution providers.
The women honored on this year’s list pushed forward with comprehensive business plans, marketing initiatives and other innovative ideas to support their partners and customers, helping them through the uncertainty brought on by the global COVID-19 pandemic. CRN celebrates these exceptional women for their leadership, dedication, and channel advocacy.
Yumi Nishiyama has more than 20 years of cybersecurity experience working in management consulting and technology focused on global C-level technical engagements at Fortune 1000 companies across a number of industries. Her strength is in building collaborative teams focused on creating solutions using leading-edge technologies to solve complex business problems. On the Exabeam Channels Team, Nishiyama is responsible for global systems integrators and partners with team members to find ways to leverage the entire partner ecosystem to best serve mutual clients.
Nishiyama spent the last year building the foundation of Exabeam’s global systems integrator strategy. Among her accomplishments was creating formal partnership agreements with several major systems integrators, navigating the integration of the Exabeam Security Management Platform into innovative service offerings, and bridging technology alliance relationships for mutually beneficial opportunities.
“I’m honored to be recognized in the CRN Women of the Channel list. It’s been an exciting year for us at Exabeam as we’ve established new formal strategic alliances and committed to business relationships with some of the largest global systems integrators,” said Yumi Nishiyama, director, global service partner alliances at Exbeam. “We’ve seen nearly 100 percent year-over-year growth in business influenced by global systems integrators and trained nearly 100 new engineers through our Exabeam Education courses. Pivoting in the pandemic to a virtual world, across our organization, we’ve also conducted dozens of highly-attended virtual CISO roundtables that brought many of our customers and partners together.”
Kristin Willard is a decisive, hands-on and revenue-focused channel sales leader with more than 20 years of experience in the security industry. She understands the ever-evolving partner ecosystem and brings a unique blend of skills to the Exabeam channel role including partner development, account management, sales operations and communications expertise across global markets.
“Thank you CRN for including me on this year’s Women of the Channel list. While 2020 was a challenging year, we took the opportunity to develop and co-host a highly-reviewed virtual partner enablement series to keep Exabeam’s partners informed on the Exabeam value proposition and customer alignment,” said Kristin Willard, senior channel manager at Exabeam. “We also teamed up with our Technical Alliance Partners from CrowdStrike, Netskope, ExtraHop, Okta, Mimecast, Contrast, Zscaler and Verodin. Our collaboration showcased how we’re all better working together.”
“CRN’s 2021 Women of the Channel list acknowledges accomplished, influential women whose dedication, hard work, and leadership accelerate channel growth,” said Blaine Raddon, CEO of The Channel Company. “We are proud to honor them for their many accomplishments and look forward to their continued contributions to the IT channel.”
“Big congratulations to Yumi and Kristin for being named CRN Women of the Channel. It’s great to see their extraordinary accomplishments acknowledged by such a prestigious publication,” said Ted Plumis, vice president of channels at Exabeam. “Both of these Exabeam leaders have helped our partners provide customer value while building out a cloud-first security ecosystem with the Exabeam Security Management Platform.”
Nishiyama and Willard are also both part of Exabeam ExaGals and the Exabeam CommUNITY Council as well as other initiatives that champion minorities and overall diversity at Exabeam and in the world.
