SAN MATEO, CA – Exabeam, the leader in user behavior analytics (UBA) for security, today announced that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Ted Plumis, VP of Channels and Business Development, to its prestigious list of 2016 Channel Chiefs. The executives on this annual list represent top leaders in the IT channel who excel at driving growth and revenue in their organizations through channel partners.

Channel Chief honorees are selected by CRN’s editorial staff on the basis of their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community and strategies for driving future growth and innovation. Each of the 2016 Channel Chiefs has demonstrated loyalty and ongoing support for the IT channel by consistently promoting, defending and executing outstanding channel partner programs.

Ted Plumis is a channel veteran, with more than 15 years of experience in channel roles at information security companies including Imperva, Q1 Labs, HP ArcSight, and Secure Computing. Ted was named a CRN Channel Chief in 2012, 2014 and 2015 for his work with Imperva. Ted joined Exabeam in 2015 to lead the company’s channel- and technology-partner strategies. Last year he led the growth of Exabeam’s global channel program, adding more than 25 new partners internationally. Exabeam launched its channel program in February 2015, and in August Exabeam was recognized by CRN on its 2015 Emerging Vendors list.

“We are honored to present the 2016 lineup of CRN Channel Chiefs, comprised of outstanding executives who move our entire industry forward by cultivating exemplary partner programs and executing cutting-edge business strategy,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “They represent an extraordinary group of individuals who lead by example and serve as both invaluable advocates and innovators of the IT channel. We applaud their incredible strides and look forward to following their accomplishments in the coming year.”

“It’s a special honor to be recognized as a CRN Channel Chief this year for the tremendous growth in the Exabeam channel program,” said Ted Plumis, Exabeam’s vice president of channel, business and corporate development. “I’m inspired by the fast traction Exabeam has had with partners and the success those partners are having with customers in less than a year. Our success is a testament to the focus that Exabeam has put on working with channel partners as our route to the market. I look forward to more growth in the program, and to supporting our partners in our mission to protect companies from cybercrime with new, innovative products like Threat Hunter.”
